Posting From My Phone

Did I happen to mention how utterly thrilled I am that today is Friday?
Yep… utterly thrilled.
And this is my first post from my phone.
Utterly thrilled and utterly mobile. :-)

  1. Very, very cool, and a beautiful photo as well! :)

Thanks, Aafke! I took that photo while driving across the Lake Livingston bridge. Yeah, I know that’s not too smart… it was just pretty to pass up, and there was no place to stop!
Good to hear from you! :->

    Beautiful photo.

So, I guess that tosses the whole “old dog, new trick” theory right out the window, huh! Thanks, my friend!

  4. I hope you were not posting from your phone *and* taking pictures while driving over that bridge. ;)
    Very lovely.

I was actually leaning across the seat, steering with my foot, with the accelerator on cruise control. It was actually quite a miraculous feat, if I say so myself, but still relatively easy to pull off. The trick is in tuning your hearing so that the horns of the oncoming traffic allow you to judge how far out of your lane you are, thus allowing you to make corrections with your foot.

Of course, I’m just kidding… there were two of us in the truck at the time, so there was never any foolishness involved. My folks taught me to take highway safety very seriously.
Not too much else… but always highway safety!
    Glad you like the pic!

“We are like a ship fastened to the shore. It floats on the water of the sea, but it does not leave its moorings; it merely bobs up and down. We are like a swimmer who prefers to walk rather than take to the water. O my God, sever these moorings, loosen the thread from the wings of my soul, plunge me into the sea.”

Very beautiful, my dear friend… and like the sea, wonderfully deep. Thank you. :-)
